President Obama says Donald Trump's campaign and the UKs vote to leave the EU are both marked by "xenophobia" and a fear of "funny-looking people," speaking in an interview with NPR. Obama pointed to the anti-immigrant sentiment that has been on the rise in Britain since the EU referendum saying he believes it has some parallels with Trumps controversial rhetoric. Obama also said he thinks that the differences are greater than the similarities and expressed optimism that the US election would not have the same results as the Brexit vote. We look at video of Obamas comments on the Lip News with Joya Mia Italiano and Nik Zecevic.
