Cat selfies are prohibited in Saudi Arabia according to prominent Saudi cleric Saleh Bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan. The cats dont matter here, Fawzan said. Taking pictures is prohibited if not for a necessity, not with cats, not with dogs, not with wolves, not with anything. Fawzan made his declaration during a television appearance that was posted online in mid-April. Saudi Arabia embraces a strict form of Islam that outlaws many practices that are common in other areas of the world, particularly practices from Western cultures.
