There was a season when Cheryl Burke had gained a paltry 5 pounds but she received a lot of negative criticism. I had gained an extra five pounds to be exact. Im just healthy and normal, and I think a lot of people can relate to me, Cheryl Burke said. She also found the unwarranted negative criticism hurtful. She confessed, It was hurtful. Im not overweight. Im not fat. I'm not what those people called me. I think the media really causes it all. There is a stereotypical right way of looking in Hollywood that is just skin and bones, and thats not beautiful. But this time around, Cheryl Burke did not resort to crash diets, she said that all the criticism has made her stronger and more determined than before. She said, Even when you fast, you eventually end up eating. So she reprogrammed her eating habits.

Cheryl Burke starts her day with a hearty breakfast of egg whites and whole wheat toasts. And during the day, she now opts for light dressing on Caesar salad and lean meat and low-fat cheese in her tacos. She snacks on a banana with peanut butter or hummus and veggies. She has cut down on her processed carbs (read: pasta) consumptions drastically. "They're just little tweaks," she said of limiting the pasta dinners to once a month and feeling the difference already. But she is happy with her body and she has made peace with it. "I'm always going to have a curvy body. But I know I'm healthy," Cheryl Burke said.

And when it comes to working out, all she does is dance. But she says, she doesn't feel like as if she has worked out, if she doesn't break into a sweat. Take a clue from that, ladies.
