Though the Ryan Reynolds diet plan is for the guys, I have no doubt that most of the girls will love to know this absolutely 'drool-worthy' Green Lantern star's diet plan. Just a few days back, I saw the official trailer of the movie and I had goosebumps. I have always been a huge fan of DC Comics, especially the Justice League of America. Ryan Reynolds has always been toned, but every since his stint in Blade Trinity, he has become more well defined. However the diet and workout regimen for Blade Trinity and Green Lantern are completely different. And now that the Green Lantern is creating such a buzz, I'm going delve into Ryan Reynold's diet secrets for that movie.
To put it simply, it took 6 months of hard work to get in top shape for the movie. His personal trainer Bobby Strom said that Reynolds had to workout 7 days a week, 90 minutes a day and was not allowed to do the same workout twice the same body part. Working of different body parts help to keep up the of thrust the training regimen. Strom said that Reynolds did spend a considerable amount of time training his core strength. And when he as not working out, I'm told that he did Pilates and Yoga to relax and stretch his muscles. He also trained in kickboxing and in other functional training to do the stunts and acrobatics involved in the movie.
Reynolds had Strom cooking for him as well. He didn't have a choice but to look good, did he? He was on a very low fat diet for the entire 6 months. Ryan Reynolds ate a lot of 97 fat free ground bison, broccoli, marinara sauce, brown rice, pasta, ground turkey, and grilled salmon. He ate his food every day as many small meals to avoid hunger pangs and over eating. And he drank a lot of water to keep himself hydrated and also drank protein shakes to keep energy level high.
