Sun rays, and sometimes harsh pollutants in the environment, can cause the neck and back to become dark. This can obviously be quite distressful, especially for young girls and women, who are stuck with wearing clothes that cover these parts. Though sun rays are the main culprit for this condition, at times stress, hormonal changes and pregnancy can also cause the discolouration of the neck and back.
Though this is not a serious problem, it often causes distress for those who wish to wear clothes where the neck and upper back are exposed.
Well, lets walk into the kitchen to find some easy ways to remove this discolouration.
First of all, cleanse the neck and back area with plain milk, using a cotton ball.
Take 4-5 tlbsp of oats.
Remove the pulp of a large tomato, and mix into the oats to form a thick paste.
Apply this over the discoloured area, and leave for 15 minutes.
With wet fingers, remove this with gentle circular motions for 5 minutes.
Now wash it off with water, and apply a mild moisturizer.
Just simple baking powder also works wonders.
Mix in enough water in the baking powder to form a semi thick consistency paste.
Apply over the neck and back.
Leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then wash off.
Grate a medium size cucumber coarsely, and extract the juice.
Using a cotton ball, apply the juice over the neck and back area.
Let it dry for about 15 minutes, and wash it off.
Pat dry, and dab on some rose water.
Application of plain lemon juice also helps, but make sure you do not go out into the sun immediately afterwards.
While paying attention to your face every day, do not neglect the neck and back areas, and make sure you step out into the sun only after liberally applying a sunscreen.
